By the lore of Elite Dangerous the first Version of the FSD was Made in the 22nd century. Then newer versions came and in 3297 the "really new" FSD was created by Sirius ( 3297? Isnt that a bit…late…i mean the devs wanted to make a new one but still… )
Now to the part i wanted to address:
The FSD uses the Alcubierre System ( like the Warp drive…well…it isnt stolen but still ) for Supercruise and it opens a wormhole for Hyperdrive. It was said it is "efficient" with energy because it MOVES THE SPACE AROUND THE SHIP. Come on you know that process needs more energy then a star can provide, so using fuel that is provided by flying through the Emmissions of a star for a like 10 seconds, well NOPE…
The Hyperdrive, opening a wormhole ( yes it IS possible in real life atleast theoretical ) takes even more energy so double NOPE. This thing can do both so my question is: How does this thing work?
There is literally no Information about how it works ( Star Trek had good explanations for the Warp core and the Warp Coils so yeah ) but i have to say it is video game After all so it doesnt have to make sense…but still, how?
