Anyone else worried we’ll get another neutral-heavy meta?

witcher triss merigold gwint

It seems like the Devs left Devotion languishing in the mud and also didn't address GN and Renfri, opting instead to nerf supporting cards/leaders. So what concerns me is, won't the current meta decks just make minor adjustments to low end cards and persist being extremely strong?

For example SY Poison GN, clearly the standout top 1-2 deck, now has to contend with extremely minor nerfs to Candle, Gellert, and Shady Vendor. While these nerfs are good, I never felt these cards were really oppressive or part of why the list was so oppressive- most of that can be attributed to the massive tempo/multiple poisons in one turn from GN -> Failed Experiment, Salamandra Hideout, etc.

Same goes for the Renfri Imprisonment list. Most of their pointslam comes from Triss and Renfri, not Braathens/Vigo, especially because the deck didn't run much assimilate and only really used those cards to duplicate busted bronzes.

What do you guys think? Will the new decks be good enough to push these ones out of the meta? Or are we in for another month of suffering? I guess it's ultimately too early to tell but I wanted to get my thoughts on the patch out there.

Note: at least they reworked Sihil nicely, props to the balance team for that. Practitioner next in line please?
