Disconnect between the game’s proposed authenticity and mod (specifically sight) balancing

One recent quirk of the game I find annoying is that BSG has taken to "gameify" Tarkov's balance in a way that less represents "Get ready to feel the weapon as it is in real life." (taken from their website) and is more akin to gamey balance for the sake of it.

Look at the OKP-7, for instance. It's a very lightweight sight, though I've heard it has durability issues. However, that's not a part of the game now. In the description of the sight, it says:

allows firing from unstable positions; reduces the operator fatigue; allows unhindered use of mechanical sights; doesn't block any field of fire sections

And then you look at it, and it's "-1% recoil, -7 ergonomics". How does anything about that sight contribute to your character being winded out quicker while aiming or being louder with his gun?

I appreciate BSG trying to balance the gear, encouraging people to use different stuff, but I think some of these design decisions are antithetical to the game's initially proposed image. I hope that these balance changes are only temporary and are phased out when BSG introduces more machanics such as battery life and loss of zero from recoil. Even so, I believe that there are other, better ways to balance these items such as through pricing.
