How can you adversise your game as being "hardcore" constantly, but as soon as you step in interchange you see a bunch of people running naked into stores to put graphics cards and tetris in their secured container and simply don't care about dying or not because they make bank like that.
You can make insane amount of profit in this game without taking any risk, you don't even have to play the game, you can watch Netflix while doing this shit. This is the exact opposite of what a hardcore game is meant to be, there is no risk/reward anymore, it's 100% reward. Then theses same people can buy the best gear in the game and play it like a deathmatch COD game. The gameplay loop is broken, the economy is completely scuffed.
I have 2000 hours in this game and I'm just sick of seeing the same shit over and over again, it's been like that for a while and it got so much worst this wipe. The state of the game is pathetic: the 2 optimal way of playing EFT is either being a hatchet runner or being a super soldier fully geared shooting M61 all the time. And you can just go from one extreme to another without ever bothering using mid-tier gear because it's simply pointless.
If you "don't care about hatchlings" fine, go ahead and enjoy shooting them in the legs for the rest of your time playing EFT, but stop pretending that this game is hardcore because it's not.
And you as well u/trainfender it would be cool to face the issue at some point, open your eyes and stop pretending that it's not there. You always avoid this topic during podcasts etc, you never want to talk about it. Is that the hardcore vision you had for your game ? Naked PMCs running in a MAL to stuff their asshole with graphics card ?
The game would be so much better with secured container being locked in raid. You find something, you need to extract with it. Wich means you have to prepare the best you can gear-wise to maximize your chances of survival. This is the only way to make EFT a true hardcore game and you know it very well.
No more quick and easy cash, no more "I have a tetris in my asshole, come to kill me I don't care".
