Gatekeeping

Folks, we’ve all seen it. We may have even done it at some point. But I wanted to post a small reminder that just because you play the game “as intended” doesn’t make you any better than the next person.

I see a lot of helpful and welcoming people in here, and to you I say Skol! But some of you… well let’s just say it’s very clear who immediately ran to the teacher for everything.

There are a ton of ways to play this game. It is a sandbox game for fucks sake. Yes there’s a progression the game kind of funnels you into. But that’s not the only way to play.

To all the creative mode, console command using, world hopping, raised ground wall building, ditch digging Vikings. You have a place here.

And to the hard core players who never read the wiki, developing your knowledge of the game as you play never once dreaming of exploiting, cheating, and god forbid…. modding the game. You have a place here.

And anyone inbetween. You have a place here.

Now let’s all get along and quit making such a big stink that people don’t play the game exactly the same way we do, yeah?
