Honest opinion. Odyssey is technically impressive but not actually very fun.

So you spend 10 minutes in a space taxi. When you arrive at your destination the environment is hazardous and you’ll die in 5 minutes if you don’t find a power outlet to charge your suit. I’m just trying to figure out how this game is supposed to work, but this ticking clock puts on a lot of pressure that isn’t really fun. Then there’s the guards. I’m terrified of getting scanned, because even though I’m “clean” they’ll start shooting immediately for theft. My inventory is empty! I was hired to fix the power regulator on this godforsaken rock. Why would they try to kill me? They should be all like “right this way to the power station, sir. Thanks for coming.” Nope. They just murder me 30 seconds after disembarking. I respawn at a station, pick a new “zero threat” mission, sit in a taxi for 10 minutes, disembark and immediately get murdered. That’s not very fun. I was playing odyssey last night, sitting in a taxi thinking “I’d rather be playing elite”.
