Exploring the plains is a damn nightmare. I have played and learned my lessons. I make sure to bring portal materials, and scope a situation. I place the portal at a distance and then go in, with a way back if need be.
I discovered the tar blobs. They spammed me, then camped the portal, instantly killing me on my return. I thought the portal was far enough but nope, they got some range and destroy it.
Fine, I’ll go to my portal a 10 minute run away. Prayed to RNGesus that no Deathsquitos spawn on my way back. Praise be I make it. Get my shit, get tarred. No worries, I got a healing potion. I’m running and discover how fast those tar blobs are. I run run run, then a Deathsquito pops out of nowhere and instakills me cuz I didn’t have time to armor up getting spammed by the shit blobs.
I’ve played every souls game to date. Nothing has brought me closer to breaking a keyboard. When it works, this game is great, just don’t play alone. It fucking sucks.
