I've been messing around with my mouse and mouse settings in offline and I've been running some really low ergo weapons. With 12 ergo my sensitivity is already high enough that ADS doesn't really negativity effect my aim in most cases. I actually use ADS as an alternative to my sniper switch built into my mouse sometimes.
Using an SA-58 with 7 ergo I just toggle my dpi switch to max and it feels like I'm running an M4 with high ergo and doinky pen with M993. ADS on normal dpi is painfully slow at 7 ergo but my switch absolutely negates that entirely.
I'm sure this is a highly discussed topic and I have no real solution to the issue but I was wondering what the community thinks about this and if anyone has any suggestions on how to fix it.
I understand why ergo is a thing but gaming being gaming with a €100+ mouse I can easily negate this with 3 levels of dpi I have so many options to gain an advantage that the game is already trying to prevent with meta guns. Either setting dpi to low, setting my sensitivity stupidly high and using the fixed dpi sniper switch for sniping and toggling my normal dpi switch up to 2 higher levels of sensitivity whenever I like or set it to mid dpi and be able to raise or lower my dpi for multiple guns and still have the fixed sniper switch to fall back on for scoped weapons when sniping. It's actually surprisingly broken and tarkov is the first time I've really found the corsair M65 features to be genuinely useful in any game so far. Normally at most I toggle dpi for one gun or another or for precise movement and just ignore the sniper switch but in Tarkov I use all the dpi levels regularly to great effect. And I know sensitivity doesn't trump skill but if I'm in a gunfight with a similarily skilled player with a low ergo doinky gun I absolutely have an unfair advantage even if I have to think a little bit more about my dpi in the moment. I shouldn't be able to snapshot with a 7 ergo SA-58 and heavy armour but I can.
Will player momentum fix this?
