Regarding using Imlerith purely as a consistency tool

With the new WH buffs I was theorizing about Imlerith as another consistency boost for the deck. We've all seen him being used as part of the Mammuna package for high tempo but I was wondering how viable he is on his own.

Since he draws and discards I would try to compare him to the SK discard package which is highly popular. The SK discards get their value from the sheer tempo they put out and because they are multiple units they can effectively thin the deck but Imlerith stands alone. The big difference here is that he doesn't require specific targets but on the other hand there is a high variance in his tempo.

Take WH MO for example, here you want to discard a bronze and hope for a card of higher value. The power of their units is usually between 3 and 4 so he deploys as a 6 or 7 for 9 which isn't great. The rest of the value comes from what you draw. If you draw a bronze of similar power and provision to what you discarded you raised the average provision of your deck and if I remember correctly that accounts to about 1 point carryover over 3 rounds or so, so he'd be a 7 or 8 for 9 with a little carryover. If you draw a higher provision card, you'd reduce the average provision of your deck reducing carryover, but also thin it and basically exchange a low provision for something better. The value here lies in the upgraded provision and that you don't have to play it immediately but also makes it really difficult to evaluate.
