Simple Backup Sript

After experiencing a few brown outs and loosing an hour or two of gameplay, I decided to come up with a simple backup script. I am not a fan of downloading some random .exe from the internet, and being most fluent in PowerShell, I came up with a backup script using PowerShell.

Since it is in PowerShell you can open up the source code and read through what it does. Sorry, I just threw it together, commenting is extremely lacking. I will be working on that in the near future.

It can handle backing up of both characters and world files, it can restore to any previous backup, and has a few extra features like opening up the save file location in your Windows explorer and also a cleanup functionality to get rid of old backups.

Please browse the code before executing it or wait for a few people to review it. If you have any issues please open an issue on GitHub. To run it just save the .ps1 file to your computer and right-click it and select 'Run with PowerShell'.

Only tested on Windows 10.
