I was watching the streamer you all know yesterday and listened him rant for 15 minutes on how dumb the BSG are and I quote: "the developers are braindead" after whole chat was just spamming insults towards Nikita and bsg. And that is one of the biggest EFT streamers we are talking about here. And that is not uncommon among big streamers.
I like watching them slay at times, but when I hear stuff like that it just makes my blood boiling. BSG created arguably one of the best if not the best shooter of all time. The game, that said streamers play 24/7 for years and here they are insulting and disrespecting the whole dev team, the dev lead and not only preventing chat from doing the same, but basically encouraging them to do so.
Funny part is that the rant was caused by death to malfunction, which is already confirmed to be changed in the next patch and streamer even mentioned it, but still proceeds to call devs braindead and stupid.
How do you expect BSG to be communicative and community-friendly, when basically the top streamer of the game and their huge community are showing such disrespect and complete lack of any appreciation for what BSG has done for community and said streamer's career.
Every change, that breaks the loop of them endlessly running around full-W is a "braindead change" period, no chance given. While literally BSG have listened to community and made a change to how malfunctions work.
This makes my blood boil, ngl.
Go play CS:GO and W key as much as you like. Oh wait, everyone is holding corners there as well.
If you are a streamer, that calls bsg dumb, braindead and idiots, find a tiny bit of integrity in yourself and quit the game, otherwise you're just a b*tch in my eyes, that keeps playing the game for nothing but money, which is bad for everyone, except for you of course. But no, you're the one asking for streamer items instead.
P.S. There are fantastic streamers out there with an opposite attitude, with much more pragmatic attitude. We should support that attitude rather and not support that type of talk towards developers that made one of the best games ever made.
Constructive criticism is good, this name-calling is not. All it does is demotivates developers and pushes them farther from community.
