This is a post I had written a year ago and I warned that the Thargoids were coming.
I also warned that the Thargoids in our current space was nothing in comparison to what the invasion force looked like.. It's headed here!
And like before us the Guardians did the same thing, and humanity is falling into their footsteps..
I had posted that the Guardians built an A.I. which ultimately lead to their destruction, and lately I've seen commanders post that we should make peace with the Thargoids.
The thing is, you can't.. Period.
Thargoids are territorial predators and they viewed the Guardians the same as they viewed humans, a pest on their lawn.. Like these commanders who sought peace, the Guardians too tried and eventually made contact… except the Thargoids had no intention then and now to make peace.
It doesn't matter who fired first, Thargoids believe themselves above all and have the numbers and firepower to do so.. especially with the current event. They are now emboldened.
There is no peace, no chance for peace, and there never was a chance for peace.
The Thargoids only care about one thing, to exterminate the pests in their yard.
Honestly I never trusted Salvation, or Aeges.. I don't have any post to prove this, except the family and I who do play this game can vouch for saying it.. and my family agrees as we share a similar mindset regarding the events that have played out.
Salvation screws up, is no small surprise.. However as of The Protious Wave event, I suspect that the Thargoids now have a super weapon capable of crippling Guardians technology.. Thus the meta will no longer be Gauss cannons.
I believe we will have to carry 2 human AX weapons, 1 Guardian, and if we can… utilize a possible hybrid of the 3.
I believe the Thargoids are still coming in full force across our bubble of civilization, and with this this theory in place.. Humanity is pretty much in the same boat as the Guardians, unless we become super aggressive as the Thargoids.
As the expression goes, to fight fire with fire. Eye for eye and tooth for tooth.
They want us out of their lawn, and we want them out of our galaxy.. So, we carve it out for them!
We don't give them an inch, less they take a mile. We meet their aggression with the same ferocity.
However we need new weapons before we can fight on this front… They are now more motivated than ever before, and they will utilize this to their best advantage.
I believe they have planned this for some time, as part of their extermination plans.
If Guardian tech is superior firepower, they will as of now have a way to turn them off, Human AX being the weaker.. We should focus on making them a little better.. And I have a theory as to what can be done.
And with this new thing.. I seen some express a hybrid theory of Guardian and Thargoid mixed weaponry or mods.
This will probably become the middle ground and go to meta…
Guardian weapons & mods = Superior, but at risk of being shutdown during Thargoid encounters.
Human AX weapons & mods = Weakest, but effective and zero risk of shutdowns.
Hybrid weapons & mods = Middle ground, zero shutdown… Possible quirks.
It should also be noted, we need new ships while we are at it.. Something more potent and something unlike they have ever encountered.
We need a hybrid ship!
Something of a cross between firepower, speed, maneuverability, and armor… And I think I know just where to look for this.
Now the community probably will disagree with me on this, claiming we have all that we need… except we don't.
A hybrid ship may just as well be our answer!
A good offense, can be the best defense.. At least for now.
