What is your opinion on the skills?

I’m new to this community so I’m not sure what the general consensus is but I just feel that skills are completely unnecessary and should be removed from the game. They’re a drag to level up and I feel that they don’t really fit in with what EFT sounds like it wants to be. Also the whole concept of skills in relation to gameplay doesn’t sit well with me; I feel current gear and health state should be the only factors of who has an advantage in a fight, not this underlying factor where some other player has been able to grind skills over a ton of raids and essentially be at an automatic advantage on top of any level of equipment they bring into the raid. And before the “git gud” crowd comes in here, I’m not really even talking about players who don’t play as much being at a huge disadvantage. My main concern is it can feel like certain weapons/attachments have this sort-of soft level requirement where if you don’t meet it, you’ll be using that item at a disadvantage. I understand some people might like that, but I just feel it adds a lot of unnecessary work and ultimately ends up being unenjoyable to be able to use that equipment at 100%.
