What would you like to see in an in-game tutorial? What is the best approach to tutorials?

What I want for this thread is YOUR suggestions for how to go about this tutorial. I think it would be a great discussion, and I would like to hear what people think is absolutely necessary to get people started. As an example of what I am looking for in this discussion, I will provide a few examples of my own:

  1. The tutorial should be on the main screen, easily accessible, optional but highly suggested, maybe a big popup the first time someone logs in to a new account.

  2. The tutorial should bring you into Customs (Woods could work here, but Customs has those early quests) in offline mode.

  3. The tutorial should use popup videos with audio that pause your raid.

  4. I think it would be really cool if these videos were acted out by different streamers from the community with funny commentary, "On your left is the notorious Dorms callout. There is a three story dorm to the East of the courtyard, and a two story on the West of the courtyard. Rashala and his goons spawn here. Rashala is a boss and his bodyguards are elites, they will fuck you up."

  5. Whenever a location is referenced in the tutorial, a map should pop up on screen with visual indicators of what is being discussed, "This is the ZB-1011 extract, it is the West-most extraction point, and it is always open when you spawn at Crossroads or Trailer park, which are the East-most extracts that are always open when you spawn on the West side of the map." These kinds of explanations create a schema for new players to understand the logic of spawn-extract dynamics. They can take this schema and apply it to other maps when they start learning new maps on their own.

  6. The tutorial should include a combat engagement with a scav, and when you get hit for the first time it should pause the game and explain the whole healing system, "when you get shot, first check for bleeds by checking indicators here (insert visual) and here (insert visual, navigate to health tab, etc.) bleeds can be stopped by this list of items (insert visual and audibly name each), once you stop a bleed, check for fractures in the same way before refilling health bars (yes, BARS multiple, each limb has its own health bar, welcome to Tarkov comrad!)."

  7. During a scav engagement the game should pause and explain ammo, how to reload, and briefly how damage is calculated, "Basically there are more types of ammo in this game than there are bottles of vodka in Mother Russia, each type of ammo has a penetration stat and a damage stat, penetration is extremely important to consider when attacking an enemy who is wearing armor. Armor makes a big difference in this game, we will get to that once you loot this scav."

  8. Once the scav dies explain how to loot, how different items have different values, and have a piece of armor on the scav that the player loots. Explain and use visuals to show the player how to check the armor class, condition, and material. Have the player discard their own armor for the scavs armor.

Ok, i could go on and on here obviously, but im kinda done typing.

Use this thread to provide specific, concrete, and descriptive, examples so that when BSG gets around to making the tutorial they know what the community wants!

Thanks for reading!

TLDR: provide examples of what you would like to see in an in-game tutorial. Be specific! Provide scripts of what you want the popup videos to say and why.
