Assuming the DBX has the Engineered FSD V1 with mass manager, both ships have Guardian FSD booster of whatever size is to their best advantage, which wins a 500ly race?
The DBX won't need to fuel scoop a lot over that distance, so undersized fuel scoop should not matter. I love this ship and use it to scout out a system for market prices or to obtain the system map before jumping the fleet carrier in. Hence the interest in up to 500ly which is the jump range of a carrier
I've bought a Dolphin no less than 3 times and by bad luck never been able to buy any class 4 FSD for it, so not had the jump range to get out of the system and sold it again. Jameson Memorial is an option for me these days I'm well aware of the cold running and charging FSD while still scooping characteristics of this little aquatic mammal, even though I've never experienced it myself.
Has anyone ever done this test?
If not, I'll get around to it myself in time.
