With Simlas and Vanadain and Alissa existing, the buff to Waylay was a huge mistake.

What were the devs thinking?

Originally the Vanadain Simlas Interaction was a funny meme. It was able to get huge points on occasion but it was clunky and unreliable, so it was fine that it had such a high ceiling.

Before Alissa, it also required some sacrifice for the carryover aspect as you couldn't use Vanadains Waylays to get more points with his additional ability and use them with Simlas in another. So Vanadain was a very low tempo play in a round where tempo mattered. You also had to sacrifice your mulligans in your next round to shuffle them back. And of course the big Simlas payoff just wasn't guaranteed to give you crazy points and control because you had to actually deathblow to get the Deadeyes.

Now it's just ridiculous. You get 5 elven bodies GUARANTEED, 4 of which being very valuable highly synergistic tokens AND 12 points of super versatile damage that can be used as tall removal or to wipe out multiple engines or a swarm or just be spread out to optimize points by not overdamaging low power units. All in one turn with almost no counterplay. This shits so hard on pretty much every other play, especially the very comparable Feign Death, which only gives you 4 bodies, only 3 points of damage, usually takes 3 turns and is prone to heatwave. It also gives you less points in total (Up to 26 from Simlas vs. 25 AT BEST in a 10 card round if the engine stays alive, so usually significantly less. Since Simlas is also extremely potent at removing opponent's threats, the difference gets even bigger).

And of course with Alissa you are now also able to use Vanadain for tempo but that's ok in my opinion.

But this new Simlas Waylay spam is absolute cancer and has to be fixed ASAP!
