Banning dashboarders through one soft reset of ranked?

Hey guys! Just wanted thoughts on an idea that I had. As a lot of us are, I am excited for the new season of ranked play. I actually very much like the idea of having two soft resets per season, I feel it will keep the community engaged more, rather than hitting a high rank early on and then not playing the rest of the season for lack of a goal to work towards.

With that being said my excitement dwindled a bit when I realized there wasn’t a full proof plan to keep the dashboarders away. We all know about judgement day but unless I missed something I’m not sure what that punishment is or if players will start to be punished more quickly for doing it.

Which brings me to my idea, what if any time a player decided to dashboard their way up the ladder, respawn banned them through one who “ranked season” until the next soft reset happened. At that point the cheater can choose to keep being a cheater or play ranked the way it should be played. This makes it so that respawn only soft bans a player and not from the game as a whole, but just the ranked side for their cheating. Luckily for them with the two different resets their ban period wouldn’t be nearly as long as the regular seasons we’ve seen in the past.

I’ve always wondered and also understood if maybe respawn didn’t ban players due to not wanting to lose a lot of the players who were doing it, or that maybe a ban wasn’t the right way because they could just make a new account. None the less I hope they have a solution for the dash boarding or to at least punish players quicker than waiting a whole season.

AGAIN this was just an idea my mates and I were talking about and I realize we may not be looking at it from every direction, which is why it’s a discussion if someone could make the idea better or maybe even share theirs.

Note: I realize with this idea implemented a dash boarder could just wait til the end of the season to do it and only get banned for a week or two but none the less, the hope would be for them to still not receive the rewards, so it would be pointless at that point.
