Toxic teammates

Rant:

I was playing with a guy that I'm friends with. We get along really well and have similar humor and personality except when it comes to Apex Legends. Every time i play with him he goes and rushes into fights ALONE. No heads up, pings or anything. He usually dies, not surprising because he pushes a whole sqaud alone. Then he blames it on me because I'm not where he wants me to be. I play as Revenant so my strategy lately has been to keep my distance and trust my instincts and only push with my entire sqaud. He continues to make passive aggressive comments towards me and last night i had to mute myself because i was laughing at him because he was so mad but almost every situation was on him. He pushed alone and died alone. He has such a big ego and treats me like I'm new to the game. I'm a girl so he probably has that "i know more about video games than you mentality" (Been playing since launch and he probably does know more than i do)
I don't take this game seriously because it is a game. I don't play to become stressed out or yelled at. I know thats a given with online games but i just can't play with him anymore. Am i tripping? Should i stop playing with him? He makes the game annoying because I'm always coming to his rescue and he yells at me. I'm over it, I've found some amazing people through Apex. People who actually have fun and clap cheeks TOGETHER. What do you think?
