Is WoT as bad as people say it is?

Some background on me: I have been playing blitz for 5 years and currently have several tier 10s and countless of hours in the game. I have little to no informmation on WoT pc, whether it be its community or the game itself, only having 2 or so hours in it.

I have gotten interested in this game, since its essentially blitz but more visually appealing. However everyone i have asked has had a negative opinion about the game, telling me that I shouldnt play it. As stated above, i am completely blind towards what this game is like, so i cannot tell whether theyre exaggerating or the game is as bad as they say it is.

All im asking is, is the game an absolute no go? Should I consider playing it? Or would it be better to look elsewhere. I understand how hard the grind will be for tanks, due to the hours ive had in blitz, and I know its gonna be far from easy. But ive also had fun in blitz, and i certainly wouldnt call it an unbearable experience.
