Premium tank Buying Guide – Information Gathering

• Hello tankers. With the holidays in the distant horizon I have been slowly adding gold to my account (purchases, ranked and showdown saturday) anticipating being able to put the gold towards gold shop/blackmarket/advent calendar tank purchases. During this time I've been making a mental list of the different tanks I would be interested in buying if they became available in the in game store. I have also been looking around to see if some sort of master buying guide had been previously made to help potential buyers with decision making.

• The kind of information I would be looking for is (in the case of T8 gold/$/bond tanks that are currently available, or likely to be available in some manner over the next few months): Tank tier (S-E), difficulty to play (Defender vs CDC), strengths and weaknesses, characteristics that makes a particular tank strong or weak.

• Unfortunately no such central recent document exists. The major sources of some of this information would be the WoT Wiki (Strengths and Weaknesses) and youtube content from WoT Content creators (Tier list videos. But these types of tier list videos aren't usually made all that often and fall out of date as time (and patches) progress)

• I would be interested in gathering the community's collective opinions on premium tanks (primarily T8, but lower tier premium tanks and higher tier reward tanks would be nice as well), so that I can start to compile information regarding these vehicles about peoples experiences using them or playing against them. The more information/personal thoughts/personal experiences people can contribute the better.

• My goal would be to create some sort of document that I could eventually share back to the community as a sort of "premium tank buying guide" for those who want information about premium tanks to allow them to make more informed purchasing decisions.

I thought I'd use Quickybaby's 2020 t8 premium tank review tier list as a jumping off point (since thats better than starting from scratch). I would appreciate it if you could look over the list and make any critiques to the list and reasoning why you would place a tank somewhere else in the tier list. If you have any suggested tank difficulty ratings I would also like to hear them. For example I've given the Defender a rating of 1/10 because of its braindead safe armor layout and high damage gun being features that would make this tank easy for a newer player to use, and listed the CDC as a 10/10 because its a paper sniper that loses HP when it sneezes.

I would appreciate any and all feedback or thoughts. If this post goes well I hope to build on the information gathered create more features for this document including strengths/weaknesses, unique vehicle features or expanding this list to cover T5/6/7 premium vehicles as well.

Tanks presented in no particular order within each tier except that each tier is organized by tank class Light > Medium > Heavy > TD
