What are your portal placing and naming strategies?

I always have a portal with no name "" in my main base.

I have two use cases for this:
– when I'm exploring a new a area, I always have materials for one portal when me. Whenever I want to go fast to my home base (e.g. full inventory, no rested buff, repair needed, night), I just set it one up with "" and go home. Once I'm back, I tear it off.
– once I want to place a new portal permanently, I place it with "", go through it to my base, place there a new portal with a appropriate name, go back through "" and remane the portal identical

Currently I have for every portal somewhere else a matching named portal at my base. But maybe I'll stop this soon and switch names of portals depending on where I'm frequently going.
