These are a few of the ideas i have gathered after playing around 100h of survival Valheim with my brother.
Id like to hear your thoughts on my ideas, and to hear your ideas as well.
Finding weapons that are non craftable would be a great rewarding experience e.g.
Old farming sickle (meadows)
Sword of a King (stronger than normal bronce sword buried in the burial chambers)
Hammer (maybe Mjolnir in the mountains)
etc.
Aditionally to my first idea:
the weapons could be broken and need a special item to repair them, for example:
use Mjolnir in the Obliberator
use iron to reforge the burial chamber sword (aims to urge player to progress and/or urges them to discover "completed" areas)
possibility to drench weapons in poison/ice/fire for additional damage. Guck for poison, freeze gland for ice and surtling cores for fire. This could be done permanently with a building similar to the Obliberator or temporary by using the work bench (adds durability of said attribute seperate of normal durability).
Give progressing in the swimming skill the abillity to dive/use tools underwater.
Add an item that makes harvesting faster (maybe the sickle as a farm/fighting tool).
Increase boss strengh with additional player numbers (2 people can sandwich every boss and defeat it pretty fast).
Add more movesets to new monsters in the future or make them faster. This would make late game more challenging. The Ulv's that came with the Mountain Cave Update are a good start, they are fast and if they come in numbers they get very critical to deal with.
Not being able to craft them sucks. Especially when everyone I talk to about it…
