So a friend just got Elite Dangerous on sale. He was interested in it mainly because he sees me playing it a lot on steam and figures if he does not like it it was just 8 bucks.
I feel he would like the game once he's established but wouldn't like the early grind, so I'd like to give him a good start and help give the game the best foot forward it could get. I was considering multicrew because he likes cooperating with others and does not really like doing things solo. My main ship is a mamba, but I have over 600 million credits, so I could get any ship or equipment I want that does not need rep.
I hear doing multicrew from the start is not a good idea, but I don't think he'd be interested in grinding in the pilot's federation areas by himself before leaving, so I'm not sure if multicrew is a good or bad idea.
Anyone have any thoughts or ideas? Or anyone who did something similar have any advice?
