Hi everyone. I wanted to make this post today because I, like all of you love Gwent. I figured I would offer this advice, as someone who has been playing season after season, coming back to the game over 2800 hours later since beta.
So, how do I not get sick of the game? I do a few things.
Firstly, while Gwent could be considered my main game I enjoy, I like to take breaks from it with other genres, usually RPGs or shooters. So like anything, taking a break here and there will avoid burnout obviously. It’s best to come back during patch releases.
Another thing I do, and this is the main thing honestly, is I stopped netdecking. This isn’t a post to shame it, I have done it as well and climbed high with it. But I actually found that true enjoyment for me personally, is making a home brew that can win in pro rank. This can apply to your rank too. But it’s honestly a great satisfaction. There’s nothing better than experimenting with leaders or cards that hardly see play, and slamming a meta report deck.
Other than that I would just say don’t take it too seriously. It is a game, after all. If you have any other tips to avoid burnout, let others know below. Have fun everyone!
