i've owned the game since 2017, and have been returning every wipe since then.
however, as of late im beginning to feel the monotony of these cycles set in. every wipe, its the same quests and the same nightmare on customs for the first month of wipe. its the same quest grind but each wipe it gets more and more inaccessible in the name of not allowing the 10-12/hr a day players to blow through the game in a week.
im hitting the point where i've done everything dozens of times over and theres really nothing that compels me to play on wipes anymore, its sad.
the only thing that would get me back into tarkov is whenever the first iteration of streets drops. at this point i either want Arena to play all the time for my tarkov fix, or i want the regular progression system / main quests to start becoming integrated into the game. the whole side quest slog is not it dude. not for as long as some of us have been 'testing' them anyways.
for people who have only been playing for a couple years or less, i can totally see why the game is still fun. but for people like me who have done some of these quests over two dozen times, its becoming mind-shattering to sit down on wipe and do pocket watch with a blank stare on my face the entire raid because im not even remotely entertained or surprised by any situation that might arise.
in conclusion i really hope there isnt another year or so of this same slog. and if there is, i hope arena can tide us over until EFT has story content / full streets.
