Hello everyone.
I'm actually curious about everyone thinks like me or do we think differently, this is why I'm sending this post.
I'm a player since Open Beta launches. Since that day, I'm playing regularly. When I look behind, the situation is way different than that times.
I'll not compare with the beta times, it was fun almost everyday you were playing with different decks. I'll start from homecoming release.
When I see they've release the homecoming, the point was releasing at least 3 expansions yearly, for adding new archetype the game, they'll add new leader abilities which supports that archetype. Also at the beginning, they're thinking for every leader has a unique skin. We can see that vision on the first expansion, Crimson Curse. The second one was adding the Syndicate to the game, I think it's the one of the best idea to adding this faction on the game. It was really huge. Then they've changed the idea about income plans of the game, which is really understandable, this expansions cutted little bit. I didn't get this idea when they released the Iron Judgement, I was thinking they've released 2 big expansions of the game, after that exhaust, they tried make a small update, It was ok. Today we can say this is a huge expansion also. In 2019 we get all of this.
Merchants of ofir was a experimental update I think and it was fine, they tried to balance too hard, which is very normal. It accesses the new type of decks. The next one which is Master Mirror actually a supporting expansion, and that felt not a huge one also. Only thing which I remembering about this is evolving heroes and Devotion decks. We get also Way of the Witcher expansion this year. At least we get 3 expansions this year but I think this all of them felt a mini expansions instead of a huge ones like Crimson Curse.
Next year we only get Price of Power. There's good cards exist on that but we only get one expansion of this year. I think it's not still a huge expansion.
This year we get only Black Sun and it's a mini set. And we won't get any new expansion on this year, only they'll add few cards in this year. They told us, this is happenning because we're pushing hard for Rogue Mage, and for that much time, I think Rogue Mage isn't a hardworked game, It felts they could release that game much earlier than today. I can't say it's a bad game but so many things can change on Rogue Mage.
The other things I didn't mention while I'm talking about expansions are, they've added new leader for each faction, and changed some of the "playing 2 cards in 1 turn" leaders into different ones. They made leaders cosmetic, and added Premium Pass for each 30 days. This is the first sign of the "we have changed the income system of the game" and we admitted it, so many players also buying them. But everyday I'm feeling we're losing some of the parts of the game.
I think we deserve a huge update for each year. I can understand, Gwent doesn't have manpower like before but at least you can bring 1 or 2 small expansions for us with Huge one.
Not being able to craft them sucks. Especially when everyone I talk to about it…
