So after the outburst caused by the cancellation of the Major which sparked a lot of complaints about the situation as well as some historic problems such as the general way in which Valve has tackled Dota and the pro scene over time, some ideas starting emerging such as creating an Union of Dota 2 players, maybe gamers in general. We have also seen some pro players/ streamers such as Gorgc, N0tail and Quinn, to name a few who were quite illustrative in showcasing the state in which things are, its problems and the general feeling of abandonment and lack of commitment and effort from Valve and how they have pretty much relinquished any hope of being given sensible answers from them.

Now my point is that, we as Reddit community (as well as other communities, forums, etc.) have weight, but it seems to me that everything has been centered around NA/ Europe. I strongly believe that the only way in which we can succeed in actually changing anything is by making a joint effort with the Chinese, SEA, and SA communities as well which are as affected as the previously mentioned ones. I admit that I'm probably quite ignorant about the state of things of the CN community (even tho I try to follow its pro scene) due to the language barrier and simply because I consume western media. But for real, if we as community are going to try to make a change, whether its the pro players, the fans, whatever, it really should be a joint effort, everyone should be pulling in the same direction.

I am a nobody, but we nobodies who purchase battlepass every year, who have spent thousands of hours on the game are, alongside the pros, the backbone of Dota. Don't forget that. I'm writing this because I feel like it can contribute in some way or maybe inspire more people to do something. Ultimately, it's the game we love and we should stand with the pros that have given us so many joyful memories.
