Hi all, so I recently got my girlfriend into Valheim: it's the first game she's ever played, we've clocked about 50 hours together, but I have a lot more both on our world and others.
We are finishing up our final base, a super plains base. Gathering final resources and taking on the final boss: it's almost over. I have absolutely adored this game and bringing my girlfriend into it has been so perfect for me, but it's going to end soon until Mistlands arrives!
I need some game recommendations to fill the gap and hope my girlfriend likes it just as much! She has a pretty bad laptop, so can't run anything too beautiful/demanding. I tested Conan Exiles on it and can get it to just about run at a decent FPS on the lowest settings.
What do people recommend? I'm struggling! It needs to have action and creative elements to it, but ideally time to relax in-between intensity: just like valheim! Coming back to base to build/prepare but then venturing out for some amazing exploring and combat. My ideas were:
Conan Exiles – closest fit I think?
Don't starve – only problem I have with this is the difficulty, it never really stops for a breather you must be on it 24/7
Stardew Valley – it's great, never tried co-op but I'm not sure the combat is right
Ark – never played this myself but I know it runs awfully even on good PCs so may not be an option
Terraria – I've shown her a few clips of this but she's not won over by side scrolling 2d yet
Any recommendations would be great!
Thanks.
