Idk, maybe it's just me. But it feels like despite Renfri being nerfed significantly the card is still high tier, and the pointslammy decks accompanying it are very boring and annoying to face. I'm talking mostly about the Imprisonment Soldiers Triss: Meteor Shower one, it doesn't even really have an identity or gameplan other than "spam locks on enemy threats, spam points on your side".
Syndicate Poison is ludicrous as well, especially the variant that replays Nekker with Alissa. They just go for 2-0 every time and can pull it off against most decks with crazy tempo and multiple poisons in a turn.
There are some good things, like Harmony being pretty strong and some Thrive, Kelly, and Hyperthin being seen at high ranks as well. But it just seems like the frontrunner decks are massively superior to everything else, and a lot of the strategy in resource commitment and slow accumulation of points is fading away in favor of "play everything R1 lul" gameplay.
Anyone having the same experience or am I just bitter? I personally can't wait for the patch to both address the rampant meta cards as well as introduce the new cards (which look really cool and more in line with original Gwent design of engines/combos/tactical gameplay). Also very happy that there's no neutrals this drop, as I'm a bit tired of them at this point lol.
