So you queued into a game in ranked…opponent opens with thinning cards…with the first gold played roach pops out…a bit after knickers…closing things up? Ring of favor comes down and after your pass ciri nova! What are the opponent wincons after that? A 16 point aerondight and a 3 card perturn golden nekker.

Sound familiar? I can confidently say this is a daily matchup for all gwent pro players. Against which faction/leader comes up this matchup?

Reckless flurry or ursine ritual?
Fruit of gerny? Blood scent? Arachas swarm?
Uprising? Shieldwall?
Tactial decision? Imposter? Enslave? Imprisonment?

(SY and ST admittedly rare but also played with guerilla tactics, lined pockets and jackpot)

Or is the answer: all of the above?! To a great extent same deck same staples same cards across different factions

I sometimes win sometimes lose but I dont feel like I really enjoy this matchup anymore, compared to non-golden nekkars.

I have seen cheeky plays and fresh ideas from time to time where players line up their topdecks for an interesting combo but that's very rare.

It has its pros and cons, what do you think?
