I'm not sure if I phrased that weird. But hopefully now that PS12B is behind Punisher, more people will pick the gun up and see what I mean. It is so goddamn satisfying to shoot someone in the chest, have the round penetrate and watch them flop. It's something I've been missing for a long time with other guns in the game. Even .338 FMJ has been a bit wonky with it occasionally. If you're smacking someone with a rifle round right in the heart, it feels like they should drop, yeah? It's even more bizarre when it's a scav that's tanking 2-3 5.56 rounds in the upper torso despite not wearing body armour. I'm sure someone will be like 'but I heard a story from my army buddy that one time about how some insurgent guy took half a mag from his M4 and ran off and lived, 5.56 is weak!', but come on.

It's funny, games like RS2 and Insurgency feel much better in this regard. You have an M4, you shoot it, one round in the torso of a dude with no armour… he's gone. Considering BSG has different hitboxes for body parts and displays them for things like headshots in the death screen, I'm pretty sure they could make it so even if they don't add new different HP zones to the body, they could still have subdivision with different damage modifiers. Like, maybe if your foot gets clipped it's blacked out instantly, because hey, that is going to fuck being able to walk on it, but if you get shot in the thigh it applies a heavy bleed instead, but it might not get blacked instantly, because it wouldn't have connected with the bone, or something like that, I don't know. This turned into a tangent, but it's a way that bullet lethality could be upped situationally without it turning it into 'you hit someone in the side of their right pec and it's like you collapsed their internal organs instantly'.
