I was reminiscing about the early days when we would roll around as pirates and interdict traders, demand some of the cargo and move on, or disable the ship and hatchbreak em and leave em there. It was easy to get lumped in with griefers but we generally would leave the people alone who raged cause they seemed unstable unless they attacked us of course.
I remember these interactions started to become soiled hard when major grind credit exploits started getting found out, and if you interrupted someone from making a mil when they already had farmed 100 mil the last 2 hours they just lost their mind.
Are there RP communities? Is there a villain group in the community anymore? Or has the tone shifted that hard and is everyone just after goidz?
Either way, I miss the game and I may start playing again for fun. Was considering wiping my cmdr too. Either way, hope everyone is still enjoying their time with ED, it is still one of my favorite gaming experiences in the last decade.
Edit: to add, for the time I ran with The Code, circa 5-6y ago, y’all also made this game super special to me.
