TL;DR the game performance has worsened so much compared to the last wipe that it's unbearable.
**Rant warning**I really don't know how this still happens but my performance is so shit this wipe.
I'll talk about streets in a sec, even in normal maps, Customs which used to run on the same system in 100 FPS, this wipe, I'm running at 60 FPS. Shoreline – used to be 100 FPS, now is 60 FPS. it's running so badly even though I lowered my graphics settings even further compared to the last wipe.
I tried so many things, editing my graphics settings on windows (i.e. the hardware accelerated GPU scheduling) , on Nvidia Control Panel, on Tarkov… I just accepted that this wipe is either to upgrade my computer to a 3090 TI or better (that even won't insure running the game smoothly, neither it's a good idea to upgrade a complete rig because of a single game) or just give up until the performance will get better.
Now streets, I was so excited to play that map, it looked so cool, there was a lot to explore and learn.
Load into a raid – 45 FPS. try tweaking settings, still, 45 FPS.
It's absurd that a new map came out and it's performance is actually worse than lighthouse when it came out.
I'm currently at the mercy of BSG to fix the performance, until then, will probably other games.
Rant over – you are welcome to agree, disagree, call it a skill issue or whatever.
Edit: Hardware info –
CPU: Intel i5-8600 (yes I know this is my main bottleneck – it worked really good last wipe)
GPU: RTX 2070
Memory: 32GB (4X8) DDR4
Storage: SSD NVMe M.2 Samsung Evo 970 2TB
