I've been hosting my own Valheim world with a close friend and we've been playing for about a month now and it's probably the farthest I've ever progressed in the game – been having a blast. Today my friend streamed his game to our discord chat to show me some things like he normally does and I will have it showing on my second monitor so I can play and watch at the same time. He left the stream on and I don't think he realized because I caught him using dev commands.
To run it down for you he was in the swamp hunting Abominations and he almost died to one and swiftly left the game, he told me he "panic left" the game and was thinking of a strategy of what to do joining back. Still clearly not aware I could see his screen he went into a solo world
and used dev commands to fully heal himself and regain stamina. He then rejoined my world, killed the abomination and then told me it bugged out and he was able to kill it.
I was really upset I saw this and it kind of just soils the entire play through for me and damages some of the trust I have with this person. I'm coming to Reddit to see if there's anything as a host I can do to block other players from using dev commands or if I'm not able to do anything about it. And if I can't what all is my friend capable of doing with the dev commands. I would like to be able to just turn them off without saying anything about it so we can continue playing but if I can't I feel like I may have to call him out which I don't know how to do properly.
Asking for some game advice and some friend advice haha, thanks to anyone who reads and comments!
