I've on/off played this game for years and never tried Alliance Chieftain. Looks like I've missed so much. I absolutely love it. Visually it looks great and performance surprised me even though this ship does have a reputation. With moderate top speed and strong thrusters this maneuvers without constant boosting and at least in PVE engineered frags are pretty insane if you can maneuver to point blank range. Also I've never really used hull tanks outside AX-combat and have to say I like it too. Fast regenerating weak shield with good resistances takes what it takes but if it falls it means nothing when monster hull is there to back it up.

This is the first build I made which feels very very good for a first build. Most difficult PVE non-thargoid content I've managed to find is that threat 8 pirate mission with FDL and Vulture buddies and this manages even that although hull does get pretty low.
