I've been playing for a couple of weeks now, doing everything I can to avoid combat. My reflexes are ultra-slow (thanks to a seizure decades ago) and I couldn't even get past the first ship in the combat tutorial. The only thing I'm worse at than combat is avoiding interdictions; the mini-game is essentially impossible for me to beat, and I've never succeeded at avoiding an interdiction.
Unfortunately, removing all combat-related activities, and those that subject me to combat via interdictions (mining, trading, missions that involve cargo) leaves precious little to do, outside of exploration and courier missions.
Is there some kind of ship setup I can make that will minimize my reflex issues and actually allow me to succeed in at least some form of combat-related PvE? (No chance of PvP for me). I have about 50 million credits and could grind for more if that makes a big difference. I also have access to a few basic engineers if some particular engineering would be of significant help. Obviously being tanky is pretty essential, but beyond that I don't know what would make the most sense. I have never done a flight simulator and am quite unfamiliar with a lot of flight combat jargon (specific maneuvers, what's the difference between boosts and thrusters, armor and hull, etc).
Not being able to craft them sucks. Especially when everyone I talk to about it…
