This one is a bit complicated. But someone have to try, right?
As seen by the only few legit playing people. They box players either old or new just to force them into trading. And they keep doing it since the dawn of STW.
This happens because people think trading is part of the game, which in reality it's not and never will be. This is why in every guide posted anywhere mentions one thing: Don't Trade!
It caused worse problems I will be explaining in this post. Examples would be payment for carries, griefing the mission if not agreed with a trader, Trap spammers, websites that profit money off something that is for free.
Playing in private or with friends and/or premades is currently the only solution.
1-Removal of dropping functionality.
CONSEQUENCES: No player will be able to test a weapon from a friend. People won't be able to move stuff from their mule accounts. Players won't be able to share stuff with new players.
EXCEPTION: Ventures on the other hand has proven this actually working. But people are still against the idea.
2-limiting the dropping of items to materials only
CONSEQUENCES: Same as above with the exception of sharing materials to new players, but it will be a worse solution as it won't solve it.
No solution has been suggested.
Basically people being taken into missions while being significantly below the minimum requirement of that mission. Like people below power level 122 being carried into mythic storm king. It's a double edged sword as well because not all carries are bad.
This is happening because people want rewards without putting any effort into it. Playing the game by not playing the game.
That has caused twine peaks missions to be riddled with people with no idea how to play the game. People forcing "the door" build into every game they play (forced jailbuild history repeating itself). Or the previous community issue I mentioned has reached twine peaks's door steps.
The irony here is people say it doesn't affect people directly, yet the consequences are already happening and it does affect people who are looking for "coop".
Again, playing in private matches is currently the only solution and playing with friends/premades as well.
1-limit the storm shield progress to story quests
This was a not-bad solution, as it forced people to actually play the game.
CONSEQUENCES: People didn't like playing the story quests. Causing epic to remove this requirement back in chapter 1 season 6.
A real solution would be enforcing power level requirements in private matches. This will force people to actually work on their power level.
Yeah, try to say "leveling up is hard!" when I can show you someone who made it to power level 100 in only 20 days. Not to mention it's easy to get everything if you put the effort into it.
We all know STW is riddled with bugs, right? Some of these bugs are basically exploits to people to use.
Why this is happening? People, again, don't want to learn the mechanics of this game and rely on exploits to win.
To make matters worse, people are now forcing these gameplays upon the others no matter how much a person has built. Currently the door walls, and previously jailbuilds (Epic never considered jailbuilds a way to play the game, given on how they keep fixing it)
Private matches, Duh.
No solution has been suggested.
No solution has been suggested. Besides begging for epic to fix such exploits.
Basically people ruin other's day, need to say more? This includes people who afk in the mission and/or farming in the game without caring about doing the objective. The score hoggers are basically the trap spammers that put them all over the objective AND on the spawns.
The reasons are people don't want to trade with them, so they proceed to sabotage the mission over something like that. Or people forcing the door walls into the mission, and you get the idea. Otherwise, just another kids looking to boost their worthless ego.
People no longer able to get mission alert rewards at this case. And some trap combinations can cause critical FPS drops to old gen consoles and low-mid end PCs.
Private.
Epic did try to add a solution to the afk, but it failed anyway.
No solution has been suggested. Probably near impossible to fix without epic actually moving their asses and start a ban wave than taking care of their precious arena servers.
All these community issues has one thing in common:
We are supposed to play together and help together. Not turn it into a pokemon v2.0 and/or an anarchy simulator. While it's great to not worry about community issues. So in other words, public matches is nothing but a cesspool of rubbish piled together in a radioactive waste.
Playing solo has it's own issues as well:
From stonewood to low end twine peaks doesn't seem much of a problem. But if you try mid-endgame twine, then you'll notice you'll spend more resources trapping objectives. Because you are playing all by yourself. Then you proceed taking your time farming these resources back. Then again you'll spend more resources, in an endless repetitive loop. This is mostly noticeable in ventures. If a person is soloing with no idea how to properly play. It becomes a true frustration to the player.
The seekers of challenges must know there are players who are not interested in looking for challenges as well.
Mostly common in any online game. Not all the friends you have will be always available. Some people have life, some people are working, some people are not interested in playing the game. Etc.
As I have stated in a previous post about this. The community is completely against it now due to having more problems than benefits.
That's all I have for now
