Given that getting Allied with a station faction to me only really means I get better missions / payouts, I was thinking about the carrier I have and the things I would do differently. I thought, when I become allied with a station, I should be offered an apartment (you know, perhaps in the habitable artificial gravity ring!) that has a nice view, small yard to walk around in that overlooks the rest of the (inaccessible) ring. Or a bay window into the landing area different than the bar. Use one of the FOUR elevators int he station to get there. In that apartment I could store a smaller amount of "cargo" than my carrier, say 5000, but have all that alternate inventory capability for odyssey mats and mining yield, etc. I could store a few more ships than the normal rabble, and perhaps get a boost in my modules storage overall (carrier should do this, BTW). The apartment would cost much less than a carrier, but still cost something. And with it I would get free (auto) fill up and ship repair when I came "home" to my apartment station. I thought it might be an easy way to get non-moving carrier access to everyone and make something more noteworthy about getting allied with a certain station and one I might designate as home.
