Cool Stuff I’d Love To See In Valheim

This has been rattling around in my head for a bit, and I wanted to share with y'all to see what you think. Note that I have yet to reach Plains/Mistlands, so I'm not gonna have much there.

  1. I'd love more diverse weapon moves and earlier access to certain weapon types. My gold standard for a combat system that might be cool is something akin to Monster Hunter, with two buttons and a load of contextual moves to diversify combat and give more alternatives than just learning to parry or tanking. Also, a flint sword at the beginning would be cool, something like the macuahuitl found in South America but with flint, not obsidian..
  2. Some sort of early magic system. I wanna set stuff on fire and not have to wait for literally the endgame for it.
  3. Fun and interesting potions. My main idea for this would be something like a Rage Potion which makes you a bit tankier and deal way more damage, kinda like the mushrooms Viking berserkers are thought to have eaten. Also, throwable potions so I can do an alchemy playthrough or debuff enemies. No, the ooze bomb doesn't really count.
  4. Making grindy things like farming and gathering metals easier. Make crops replant into their seed form or give us some sort of companion creature that plants for us, like a fairy/spirit that takes stuff from the player and plants it but doesn't harvest so some level of oversight is needed. Also, reduce the weight of metals for the love of god. The portal thing is bad enough, we don't need more.
  5. This one may be controversial, idk, but give us more structures and then have mobs operate around them. The game just feels gamey with its Greydwarf, Surtling and Draugr/Skeleton spawners. I'd love to have more of a structure built around them, kinda similar to what I've seen of the Fuling villages, except built around the spawning structure (I personally love the Meadows Draugr village, it's really cool and I want more). This would give us more of an idea of what these creatures are or how they come to be. An example I think would be amazing is trolls actually exiting their caves, which would prevent being able to cheese a troll by exiting the cave and regening, and also mean that defeating any troll is more significant of an achievement, as you've killed something that has a lair. Also, nerf the troll ass hair. It's too powerful.
  6. Fun and unique loot. I want even more rewards for exploring, using a system similar to the one seen in Terraria with its charms. Capes and belts and stuff are all good, but I wanna see exploring incentivized with cool rewards like a ring that increases health or a magic sword. Flavoring could be a pain in the butt, but I think there are enough cool concepts there to make something cool. This could also mean that difficulty is increased a bit, which I think would be good. I'm bored of bullying things as I explore to find another frost cave because apparently looting two isn't enough for full Fenris armor.

Sorry if this is rambly, just wanted to share some of my thoughts (I gotta post before I hit 20 things on this list). If yall have any suggestions about this or wanna make any of these into a mod feel free, I'd love to see anything you guys have got no matter how weird. Hope you're having a great day.
