I finally got around to updating Elite. I haven't played since around the time they pushed through the Odyssey style programming into legacy Elite Dangerous. I've resisted Odyssey all these years because I heard complaints about how it negatively impacted the VR experience, particularly frame rates.

Well, I can't say they were wrong. Framerates are down, but not unbearably. The lighting is different, but not bad. What really gets me is the jaggies. Everything is extremely jagged and the distant stars look so bad that it's actually kind of nauseating to look at them. Maybe I just need to get my sea legs back under me.

I still love the game, especially the feel of it. The satisfaction of popping a big fat pirate, the relief of a safe landing.

Have any of you found any workarounds to improve your VR experience lately?
