I recently started playing with a new character and decided I wanted to main polearms (atgeirs) after maining swords on my first and main character. So far it’s been fun, but I just wish there was a polearm for silver tier. So this is something I hope we will get someday.

Additionally, I wanted to see what everyone else thinks on the atgeir’s pierce damage. It seems a lot more enemies are resistant to pierce (or not weak to it) compared to blunt or slash. I think only trolls are weak to pierce, but once you get to the mountains, it doesn’t matter which weapon you use on a troll.

And I’m also surprised to see that the secondary attack does pierce damage, what do you think if it gets changed to slash damage?

Basically, I hope to get a silver tier polearm someday, and I want to see what others think about it doing only pierce damage where blunt and slash seem to be slightly better overall. Don’t get me wrong, I’m enjoying playing with atgeirs but I’m just wondering how exactly do they compare with the other weapon types.
