A 6B47 is level 3 and protects the top,nape and ears. For all intents and purpose it is the standard bare minimum helmet with the SSH-68 being only 10k cheaper and doesn’t protect ears. These two options feel very balanced for their price point of 30k and 20k roubles and it would make sense for these to be the baseline that all helmets pricing is balanced around.

Now once we move away from these helmets the prices just feel weird. The OPs-Core Fast Helmet is level 4 armor that doesn’t protect ears by default and it cost $1407 (roughly 200k roubles), it’s main pro compared to other level 4 helmets is that it can accept a large amount of modifications that are actually pretty cheap compared to the actual helmet. This odd pricing arrangement exists for all of the modern “tactical” helmets that are from the west. Then there’s the level 3 LShZ Light helmets 60k ragman or a relatively cheap craft from lavatory, these helmets accept the same mods as the Fast helmets besides the SLAAP plate, but oddly enough for $398 (cheaper than the LShZ) you can buy a level 4 TC-2001 and it accepts a SLAAP plate.

If the wall of text feels nonsensical it’s because the balance for helmets pricing just comes across as nonsensical, there is as far as I can tell not any coherent line of reasoning in how things are priced helmet wise. ULACHS are 100k, can’t accept mods/NVGs, and repair good, Airframes are like 150k roubles but accept mods and NVGs. TC-800s can be bought on flea for usually less than 100k and can accept NVGs and FAST face shields. Actually while I was typing this up just looking at the helmet options and comparing prices and stats I noticed some helmets have only a color swap but different stats and mods they can accept.

TLDR: in a future patch I feel like helmets need a full on rebalance or price reduction.
