TL;DR,
Do you think "Bleeding" is a must againts deck that everyone playing when we play an average or less known/played decks? Because long Round 3 is not really a good option? CMIIW.
IMHO, ST-Nature's Gift/Elf, SY-Firesworn, NR-Siege/Mages, SK-Pirates/Rain, MO-Relicts, NG-Status w/ Ball are example of less known/played decks if compared with that other decks (I'm sorry if our opinion regarding this is different but I hope you get my point).
LONG POST
With power creep that everyone is talking about, do you think going for a long round 3 againts particular deck is the right option when we play an average or infamous deck? I can't describe it with deck tier because I just really don't know the exact criteria of deck tier and I think it's a subjective thing if there is no data.
I actually have this habit and tend to go for "Bleeding" with many kind of deck. Maybe it's just my bad habit but I don't know… Understanding decks limit is really the next level!
I have this basic mindset, if you couldn't compete with opponent points then you just need to bleed them at all cost. Let me give you an example. Let's say, I play a Firesworn deck againts NR Knights and SK Veterans. Inside the match, I will do this :
Vs. NR Knights : Try to win R1 and bleed them in R2 (high 2-0 potential if the condition is right). Short/medium R3 is also a good option but not a long R3 with Damsel In Distress IMHO.
Vs. SK Veterans : Try to win R1 but also not overcommit yourself (because in R1 they usually play really slow) and just try to go for 2-0 or hard bleed if possible. In other hand, short/medium R3 with Firesworn is really tough in this matchup and I don't think long R3 is really a great idea.
I always have this kind of strategy againts strong deck. So, what is your opinion regarding this topic? Let me know your thoughts below!
Sincerely,
Alif
