I was playing the other day with my friend, we had worse hero draft, we would never predict our win unless other team was worse. To my surprise we had them on their toes, played well, untill some asshole just stopped playing. He was farming one second, the other second he stood there and did nothing. Still , we almost won, but we needed that little bit of impact from last player, who was invoker from mid, which he actually won. It was a frustration on another level. We were ready to lose, we had our hopes up as opponent team were just bad players and we lost cause of what? We could not even control him as he didnt "abandon" game, he just stopped doing anything, as if he just stood up and left his house for it to burn to dust. In these cases, if he was forced to play 100 games in low priority would not matter to him.
The other new thing to me were cheats. I understand bugs and exploits, but straight up drawing circles on the map of hero position, and pinpoint accuracy of finding observer wards is insane. Even Garena had a good way of fighting them, and they had cheats way worse, how come dota cant fight it?
If people online made it possible for taunts have cooldowns of one minute, which literally has no impact on anything, we surely can make people regret abandoning/throwing games/using cheats. Punish them with 100 games,100 hours, 100 times more expensive transactions, block their inventory, if proven guilty. If that will make games better, i myself ready to look through evidence of new reporting system if it proves to be usefull in any way. Maybe its just frustration in me , but something really should be done, games are not fun to play anymore.
