Valve tried to substitute the Seasonal Battle Pass system with a live update one like the one they put in place with Dota Plus, but what is happing is that they released a second Seasonal Battle Pass (Nemestice and Labyrinth) officially clearing any doubts on the topic.

With Nemestice, they could say "it was a one time thing", or "it wasn't really a full battle pass", but this time there's the whole package, untradable immortals, buy-only arcanas and most likely a bundle of treasures coming up soon, just like all Seasonal Battle Passes before this one.

Now why am I making a problem out of this? Because I feel right now Dota Plus is completely useless and I feel like the features it offers should be open to everyone playing the game, like the voice lines, the hero progression (maybe not all of it) and the old workshop sets that weren't released for who knows what reason.

This subreddit has always had a wide range of suggestions to make Dota Plus actually worth something, and I am going to make my own proposal in this post. I feel like Dota Plus could be something really good for the game if it was a one time "paywall" to discourage smurfs and boosters from plaguing every skill bracket in this game, separating the playerbase into people who bought the Plus and people who want to play free, that are still gonna exist of course.

Now this is just my opinion, and think whatever you want of it, but there's no doubt Dota Plus right now is literally nothing else than 4$ a month to use hero voice lines, I know it's something valuable for some people, but they are buying the product purely out of "fear of missing out", and that the feature will never get touched by the developers, and it sucks for whoever doesn't want to put up with Valve's bullshit.
