Before I get started just know that I'm in no way a Writter or Game Designer so There may be flaws or cliché in what I am about to say
Alright heres some context. I just finished watching the Echoes video on the Battlestate Game channel about Streets of Tarkov and it got me SUPER hyped about the new map. But it also made me start thinking.
What would a campaign/storyline type of Tarkov game look like? I know this game is designed to be Multiplayer and survival and in NO WAY do I want this to change I LOVE this game and how it is BUT I also very much love singleplayer Campaign games.
The more I think about it the better it gets (at least in my opinion). Just the thought of being able to play each map that already exist in Tarkov but following a Narrative that is inspired about the game and the Raid videos would just be amazing. I can already imagine myself Playing in the hands of a stranded PMC fighting his way through Scavs and USECS and Scav Bosses in each map with a Squad just like the Raid videos, and all of it with one purpose ''Getting out!!'' So I feel like a Singleplayer campaign style game of Tarkov would be really cool. Obviously I wouldn't want to take away from them working on the Normal version of the game we already have since that's already a big Hassle. It's all a dream I kinda have.
Anyways this post is basically just me Asking you guys what you think about something like that and me fantasizing about this idea. Obviously I understand not all people like Singleplayer/StoryDriven games like I'm talking about so I'll understand the hate.
Now if I were to be the one making this (which in no way will I do this nor can I) I would make it an other Game, like you wouldn't open ''Normal'' Tarkov to play this game but another game with a catchy name like IDK ''Escaping Tarkov'' (I know how original) and it would all be on the same engine except its Storydriven a little like Call of Duty (but better). Also I would add a bit of survival in the game a bit like the real EFT, let me explain, in each game you would set up your PMC in a stash/inventory and as the missons progress you would pickup/find strategically placed Weapons and Gear around the maps during the missions. Obviously all the gun mechanics and Health mechanics would stay the same as EFT's to make it the most realistic possible.
Finally, the storyline IMO would be little like this.
''You and a small BEAR Team of PMC (Private Military Contractors) are lost in the City of Tarkov with no outside help whatsoever except the people in Tarkov that can maybe help get you out… for a price. You were initially sent in Tarkov to find and extract Turgenev's Team(a team who were supposed to find an unknown item in the ''TerraGroup's'' lab that the USEC got to first) but couldn't find them alive in time. You'll need to travel to each map to find different things for different Merchants to buy yourself a ticket out of Tarkov. During each missions you would encounter teams of USECs, Scav patrols and the Classic Scav Bosses and Raiders (we could even use this to find out more about the Boses and their story). You might lose some of your Comrades during the missions but in the end what matters is that YOU get out and hopefully you found what ever that thing TerrraGroup had''
I'm not a StoryTeller or Writer like I said so if that sounds bad or Cliché I apologies.
So to reiterate I would love a Campaing/StoryDriven type game of Escape From Tarkov and I want to know your guy's opinion on the Matter and on the little story I came up with. Also I'd love to NOT hate my self so If you could not hate on this please, although constructive criticism is gladly accepted.
