I mean I'll take a battlepass, but really I want a big patch. Specifically adding all the things the last patch failed to address. Water runes, map changes, gold changes, new objectives. Something to change the strategic approach to dota.
Hypothetically we are approaching the timeline of the the postulated "Great Confluence". This is theorized to be a potential union of HoN and Dota2. The HoN servers shut down June 20th, but DPC starts soon, so if we don't get a patch now when will we get one. August after both the DPC and a major? This would be odd because then we'd be playing TI on a totally new patch something that really has never happened.
I suppose we could be looking at a situation where we get 7.31d between the major and TI, but then we will have had two DPC tours and two majors on the same meta/same patch.
All and all, I don't really have a lot of hope for anything I've written. The Great Confluence, getting a game changing patch between now and TI, even getting a game changing patch before ~ Dec 2023 seems unlikely. But I can still have hopium.
