So after handing in ~360 million in exo my rank hasn't moved up at all.
Customer service sent me the following:
Thank you for getting back to me. I've taken a look and compared the old notes with the new ones and can see that exobiology is being increased correctly.
At the end of last year exobiology rank requirements were rebalanced. This included a number of changes, importantly a general increase to certain rank requirements due to the new change in their value.
A consequence of this is that progress will look vastly different until your experience catches up with the new balancing. This has left some CMDR's seeing their progress stay at certain percentages for a long time, and the higher your rank, the longer this will take for your experience to catch up to the rank listed.
I apologise for any inconvenience this may be causing, but please rest assured that your efforts are not in vein and are being counted correctly.
Now I have no idea how to see my rank percentage – it seems a bit unfair to retroactively punish people for a change made after ranking up.
