Few tips for rescue pilots

Hey, I didn't see any general post with tips for rescue pilots wanting to get into Thargoid infested space and save some lives. That's why I and my fellow CMDRs decided to share our knowledge of the subject.

If you have some other tips, or find some mistakes in mine, please comment below.

  1. Hull reinforcement makes a difference but it's a trade off, you need to know how much passenger space you are willing to sacrifice for it. Better start with more reinforcement and go down from it if you feel comfortable

  2. Submit to interdiction if you are not sure you can escape them, FSD cool down is much shorter this way

  3. Outrun goids. Best to keep your speed north of 450, which should be enough to outrun flowers. If you can't, point yourself at the goid and try to pass right next to them. Goids have slow turning speeds, so it should give you window of opportunity where you don't take much damage

  4. Turn FA off if you get interdicted by flower. That should allow you to keep your speed and vector after hit by neutralizer field

  5. [DEBATABLE] Running cold doesn't eliminate risk of interdiction or hyperditcion, but it seems to lower it a bit. Jumping in system cold if you have spare heatsinks seems worth it, as for keeping your ship cold in supercriuse, it's much harder to say.
