4Game

I just had my first invade for this H and H runthrough. Holy crap. 4 Bruisers, 2 Shamans, ~25Greydwarves and ~15 greylings. They all came at once in one huge seething tide… and they went straight for the Bees and my boar farm!

It happened on day 29 and I was just starting to build my wood spike wall around my medium sized Meadow/Dark Forest base. I just started bronze age and had a bronze axe, cultivator and pick. I was about one third of the way through buildilng the wall before I ran out of wood. But then I saw the message thinking it would be a silly invade of maybe 4 greydwarves and a bruiser. NOPE. They just came in one seething mass…. Combat Gearwise I had a club level 2, wooden shield level 2, and a set of level 1 troll armor. It was barely enough because they bodied me into a corner and kept wailing on me. I think I might actually build a spike pit moat around my walls this time… My poor pigs. I lost 90% of them to poison from the shamans. The pen itself barely survived witha sliver of health in several spots. I don't know what it is about H & H but the game simultaneously feels faster progression early game, but more exciting risk in combat even though I am doing what I can to prep.

The trolls are just as easy to deal with, though they hit harder. I'm not sure what I will do if I have to fight more than 1 at a time. The results won't be pretty lol.

Edit, forgot to mention I lost my entire carrot crop of ~20 as well… rip.
